Two Cranes Still "On the Lamb"

Kearney, NE (4/22/2003) — Good News! The Kearney Police Department called on Tuesday morning with news that two of the Cranes had been found.  The cranes; "Old Glory" and "Roots of Nebraska" were discovered this morning at the Kearney Recycling Center in two carefully packaged boxes.

At first glance the cranes seemed to be in good shape, however after a more careful examination, Susan Bigg explained "they had sustained some damage," but also added "with a bit of work, they could be repaired."

The police took the cranes into "protective custody" in order to check for fingerprints.

Bigg stated, "we are still hopeful that the other two will show up somewhere, undamaged."

If anyone has any information on the missing cranes, call Crimestoppers at 237-3424.
